We had our property evaluated from another agent for $290,000; but he gave us an evaluation of $260,000. We went with him, as he knew us from the island, although our other agent was related to family affairs in other side of the family. After having our house listed at $260,000 we had very disqualified people through our house, many saying they didnt want something finished; despite the pictures they saw online. the open house was a flop as out of the seven who seen the house, 5 were snooping at the house as they were friends the family (we parked at the bottom of the street). He went on vacation part way through and gave us a very lousy agent during the intrim. He proposed the problem was in price. Despite everyone else telling us that this wasn't the problem - we lowered the rpice of our home to $220. We immediately got a busload of offers in the 200s. We then wanted to go with another agent, but he locked s in and had no choice as we had to move for work-related reasons in time frame. We had to accept an offer for just ver #$200, less than we actually paid for the house after updating the bathrooms, windows, roof and kitchen in the past 2 years. He was very unexpiereinced in the Sault as the bulk of his clientele was from the island. He also brought very unqualified buyers through the house and did not go above and beyond the call of duty. the sign was a wood stake and never did he dress up. very unprofessional. should find a new career, perhaps in the lazy industry. DO NOT HIRE HIM!
