She at first seemed excited for the opportunity which is why we decided to go with her. We were very clear with her our price and we were testing the market. At first she was very attentive told us of interest and what was going on at open houses… then she seemed to become less interested I don’t think she was getting the results she was hoping for… we needed to stand out as 2 other properties were also for sale on our floor so I suggested music … bottles of water anything to help us stand out … she agreed but never put any efforts toward it. We were getting tired of doing showings as I do work from my home studio and each time I have to put all my supplies away so I told her there’s two weekends we won’t be home so those are probably good weekends to do open houses. She couldn’t do it the one weekend she couldn’t find anybody to cover for her and the next weekend was a long weekend and she told me she needs the weekend off she’s been overdoing it. I was quite surprised to hear a real estate agent taking a weekend off. She then had this great idea to have some comedian come into our home and do a video which I don’t think she did much research on because it did nothing and it was a horrible video, a waste of our time. She kept encouraging us to take it off the market and put it back on a different price. She was trying to always get creative to make it look new again which, in turn I think made us look like we didn’t know what we were doing. She always seemed very confused and over promised, and under delivered. Needless to say, we took our home off the market but we’re stuck with her due to the contract. We will definitely put more research into the next Realtor we hire. My advice to Carmen is do what you say. Be clear on what you’re doing and don’t take weekends off.
