Pat Durant is no ordinary real estate agent. In a nutshell she is wonderful, exquisite, brilliant. She guided me through every step of the process of selling a house, from advising on renovations, to recommending contractors, i.e., carpenters, electricians, painters and a home stager. I had lived in my home for 15 years and had not made many changes, except new windows and doors. The house was stuck in the 60s, but it had good bones. Hardwood floors throughout and plaster walls and molding. Pat advised me to update the kitchen and the bathroom and I accepted her advice and to paint the house throughout with the same colour. I put the update totally in her hands. I made up my mind that it was no longer my house and I had to surrender it into the hands of the expert. The house looked phenomenal when the work was finished; it was so beautiful that I opted to put off the sale for an extra year, just so I could enjoy it. When it comes to selling properties, Pat is a project manager, a counsellor, a handywoman, a gardener, a cleaning lady and an artist. She was hands-on when I became overwhelmed by the task: she washed walls, did laundry, packed the last of my stuff, and was there when the movers came. I had already left for the East coast. She has the kind of integrity that is rare these days. She took as good care of the buyers as she did of me, without crossing any lines. I think that impressed me the most. They were young and a little sceptical of her motives in the beginning, but it did not take them long to realize that she was there for them. Oh, and did I mention, she SOLD MY HOUSE IN ONE DAY!!! The profit for me on the sale of the house was over $200,000!
