Michael Uy is a young (so perhaps inexperienced) but thoroughly incompetent realtor. I was on the buying end, and had my own agent. He was the seller. He was not knowledgeable at all at the showing, there was incorrect information listed about things such as square feet, rental allowances and strate fees, and it became clear I had read the documents more than he had as basic questions he could not answer. He backtracked on a lot of information, was unclear or unprepared, arrived late to showing, and borderline harassed my agent insisting we hand in our offer earlier than he had originally stated to me. After multiple reminders the unit had to be professionally cleaned (as per contract), it was not, with furniture still lingering in the unit that was supposed to be removed and dog hair everywhere. The closing date was a few months after the offer was accepted, and unit was empty, therefore there is no logistical excuse for this. (It was one of his many assistants whom we finally got hold of to remedy this "oversight", as Mr Uy is often not reachable at all), wasting my time in the process (are you enjoying your commission?) I could not in good faith recommend anyone to work with someone who likely does not take his profession seriously, or that of the clients. His seller must have been satisfied as yes, I did purchase his unit at over the asking price; however, the professional competencies I would expect were seriously lacking. If you are looking to sell your house, perhaps find a realtor who has proven to be in good standing with his colleagues, many of those representing future buyers. If my experience is an exception, than so be it. If my experience is the norm with Mr Uy, he cannot possibly expect to be taken seriously in this industry. If anyone from this agency takes issue to my review, please feel free to contact me. I hope Mr Uy ups his game as an actual professional in the future.
