This was the first property we have ever sold, so we were nervous and novices! Simon made us very comfortable, and took us through the various stages and tasks needed for a successful sale. It's a complicated site, with a Restrictive Covenant and some other issues. He and Riely Rodrigues did a great job of preparing/staging our house on the lakeshore, minimizing the impact (on us) of showings, and keeping us informed at every stage. They had to deal with the forest fires in the immediate area. Simon advised us to adjust our asking price based on issues identified in private ('Coming Soon') showings. Once 'public', he managed the various offers by potential buyers, and we ended up getting a sale at more than our initial asking number.We felt both comfortable and confident with Simon and his team partner Riely. They were professional, friendly and competent, and made the whole process as much a pleasure as such a process can be. They even gave us a beautiful rendering of our cottage of 32 years on the Lake, to keep as a mmeory. Working with Simon Ward and Riely Rodrigues at Vantage West has been a real pleasure. Simon helped me find the perfect home. I was moving to Kelowna from another province and before we met in person, we spoke many times. Simon sent me listings for a couple a months before my trip to Kelowna so that I had a better sense of the market and what was available. I wasn't expecting to be able to find a place right away, but that's what happened. A week after I accepted an offer on my place in Ontario, I flew to Kelowna. In two days, I found my dream home. Simon and Riely helped me through all the stages of the purchase. The procedures were a bit different from where I was from. They were patient and quick to respond to my many questions. They also had helpful suggestions about practical things, like converting my drivers license or where to by a mattress. Riely sent me frequent emails to guide me through the various steps and combed through tons of strata documents. Their help didn't end after I moved in. Simon lent me a camping mattress so that I did not have to sleep on the floor. He lent me tools and spent a few hours helping me with my door lock. Simon and Riely were such a pleasure to deal with. I had no idea what I was doing when it came to selling a house and it was extra difficult selling a house from a distance. I'm on the coast and the house was in Peachland. They were always in contact with every step and made a every difficulty seem like no big deal. The importance of choosing the right Realtor cannot be stressed enough. They are managing the sale of your highest value asset and you are trusting them to do so with professionalism, respect and knowledge. We interviewed 3 well known Realtors and chose to hire Simon from Vantage West because he was the best fit for our needs. He promptly understood the unique aspects of our property which translated into a higher sale value. From start to finish we were thrilled with the experience. We received staging advice from Heather to showcase our home in the best possible light. The photographer was amazing and we fell in love with the photos of our house. We appreciated Riley providing email support and ensured all information was sent quickly. Simon was always available to answer questions – prompt and professional. After the showings, Simon and his team provided us with feedback. When the offer was received, he skillfully negotiated the best terms for us. He also provided professional recommendations for companies needed to fulfill subjects. He is beside you the whole way and does an excellent job of communicating his strategy. We used Simon after being referred to him by some very happy friends who had Simon find them a house also this past year. Simon was great, he was always able to come up with lots of properties that fit my criteria, and we placed several offers before finally having one accepted. He was able to get me into the very first showing, and with an immediate offer, we got the place. I am very happy with my purchase, and he was very helpful. As out of town buyers, what seemed like a daunting task was made extraordinarily easier with Simon as our realtor. He was very prepared with plenty of listings the two weekends we came into town to look at properties and didn’t waste any time. His contractor background was an asset in giving us honest feedback about the homes we viewed. His negotiation skills and tenacity really stood out to us when it came time to make an offer, and we were rewarded with a house purchased under asking!
